A magnificent oak tree covered in snow on the banks of the River Wye.
This little tree is holding its own in the wintry weather.
View from Hay Bluff with Pen-y-Fan on the horizon.
What caught my eye was the contre-jour lighting of the woodland floor and especially the clump of nettles at the base of the tree.
An ash tree in all it's glory on a hillside just below the northern ridge of the Black Mountains. With the "Ash Dieback" disease reported in Britain, caused by a fungus called Chalara fraxinea, will this sight soon be consigned to history?
